UNFORTUNATELY Pryde going insane and trying to destroy the kingdom is confirmed in the novel to be an Unavoidable Future, not an Alterable Future. Which means that YES, this still happens in the novel. YES, even though our Pryde isn't "game Pryde" anymore. The Queen's vision was not wrong, and her being involved with Pryde's upbringing, or not, has absolutely NO EFFECT on what happens later in the story. Pryde could spend the entire ten years eating cookies, and yet come Tiara's sixteenth birthday, Pryde will immediately go insane and try to destroy the kingdom. It's unavoidable.
And saying that the sole monarch of a country who is literally on the road three weeks out of the month (minimum) on diplomatic missions should be the sole caretaker of her daughter, when the Queen herself was raised without exposure to her own parents, and didn't receive any affection whatsoever until she met her future husband at sixteen years old, is infuriating. She literally thought "family" was a fairytale construction as a child. "Maladjusted" doesn't even begin to cover it.
As for the other question. Yes, Pryde's father is Absolute Trash. Unfortunately, the fandom gives him more credit for actually being there. Let's just say that he's a thousand times better as a friend than a father and leave it at that.
WHY ARE PEOPLE BASHING THE MOTHER AND FATHER, did I miss something ヽ(`Д´)ノ
