Think about it if she’s from a poor yet noble family she’d probably feel wronged and by winning the crown prince favor she’d be able to return her family’s “honor” so she’d use the prince instead of love him and act like a victim falling from the ladder, getting the princes fiancé mad, and the dance making it look like the perfect happy couple.
