So what I have noticed is that in especially painter of the night a lot of ppl don't want the mcs to end up together. I don't want them to end up together too but I still like reading the story because it is just interesting and exciting. I also skip rape scenes because I really hate them I just love the drama and exciting stuff in these mangas. I also don't want the Mcs in this manga to end up together, but I think some ppl hope that the seme will change, what is maybe possible but unrealistic I think.
Some people simply love to read stories with fucked up plots because they find the storyline interesting. Stories with fucked up plots have more drama and angst and a lot of people love that. Just because people love reading these type of stories doesn't mean they condone this things in real life.

uh because we get emotionally invested and it riles us up? then we get really into the story snd root for the character we vibe with the most. or maybe our lives are so boring that we need to have a story like this to even feel something? or maybe you experience a lot of pain and feel more reassured knowing there's someone like you going through the same things, even if its a fictional character. I don't know, some may have their reasons. or maybe I'm thinking too deep and some of them are really dirty people who just like it cause the fuck scenes are "spicy".
why ppl are so interested in abusive relationship ? its a genuine question though. like the painter of the night (im only mentioning one of the famous one) and whats more weird is the fact there are ppl who want both mcs to end up together. and why ppl actually romantacizing abusing ?
i wont judge those who are in the abusive relationship bcs i know how love works, no matter what ur partner does, u will love them anyway. also, i understand that some of them want to get out from the relationship but they cant. i will never judge them.
but what i dont understand is ppl in the surrounding, why u love seeing abusive relationship. why ure condoning those acts like when the abusive partner act protective, yall gone oh cuteee im loving this.
