Well their mentality when they died was of a highschooler. They didn't lose their memories when they reincarnated so I believe they kept their mentality so it grew to an adult even in their new life.
So what I'm getting here is that they died at 18, technically an adult or almost. Now they're mentally 25 I believe? My opinion is that after having to be reincarnated into a whole new world without ever living life fully in their first one, plus the trauma and abuse they were given in their current one. I would say that took a huge hit to their mental health. Yes, they are smart but I think they may have a lower EQ now. They're not dumb or useless. Adding to this they are in a child's body. What can they do? They are human beings (well fictional characters who are in fact human) who often make mistakes. They're not "perfect" or "Extremely smart" like those other Mc's. Keep in mind before they reincarnated they were just 18 year olds trying to get through life. Another thing I have to add for Jason I'm not sure how to defend him, he came all confident and strong but not even a minute later was stabbed lmao. Sorry I was laughing at that Jasons cool.
