Haesoo was the most toxic of them all, same as Taku was. Haesoo didn’t even have the guts to admit to Jowoon that he was sleeping with Taku, only wanted to see if Jowoon would get jealous. And Taku in the other hand literally pushed Haesoo to be with him and had this obsession to beat Jowoon in his little games ever since the beginning. Yes, Jowoon had his own faults but he never ever slept with somebody else in spite of Haesoo. Even when Haesoo let him go, he accepted it and wished him well. He took the blame when it came to the bullying scandal. WTF has Taku ever done?! He was manipulative and toxic as fuck. And Haesoo was a crybaby who never had the guts to decide for himself. Yes, Jowoon got Haesoo, but Haesoo doesn’t deserve Jowoon.

tf? They were BOTH not willing to admit their feelings. They were BOTH COWARDS. Idk if you're just blinded by Joowon's immaculate character development but he thought it was okay to continue to manipulate Haesoo into a casual relationship just because he was afraid of how the public would treat him, or how his future would become if ever news broke out. News flash, that wasn't for only him to decide. They should've talked it out together, but they didn't. It has heartfelt motives but the actions he did were anything but pure. He was hot-headed, self-conceited, and jealous. "he never slept with somebody else" is inaccurate because BOTH Joowon and Haesoo kept having relationships and fucked every time they broke up with their lovers. That's what made them toxic in the first place. Because they confided in each other half-assed when in reality they wanted to freely love each other but were just trapped in a never-ending wordless limbo. Why are you even comparing them when they were clearly going around in circles together? I've been a Joowon stan through and through but I'm not gonna validate his actions and drag other characters just to make him look "less toxic".

He want to continue the casual relationship bc he believe haesoo would leave him if they became serious, joowon even stated it to haesoo in previous chapters

I never said Jowoon wasn’t toxic. We’re not comparing toxicity, BUT Haesoo has never made a step towards Jowoon. Jowoon has. The only thing Haesoo did was leave Taku for Jowoon. That’s it. And read well, I said Jowoon never slept with somebody else to make Haesoo angry, I never said Jowoon remained celibate for Haesoo. Haesoo is a crybaby who never ever wanted to take any part of the fault and just wanted Jowoon to break bones and get to him. He’s bratty and selfish and abandoned Jowoon when he most needed Haesoo.

You can't blame him for it. I admit that when you think about it Haesoo was selfish, but they never communicated. And Joowon made it seem like he was roundaboutly wrapping Haesoo around his finger. It was years of pull and push and mental frustration and anxiety for both of them. Plus, just like Joowon predicted, Haesoo grew to understand prejudice through his own mother's eyes when their relationship was found out. That itself made him weary of his actions because the taboo and psychological abuse was so rooted in him in the first place. He was hurt and used and confused to the point that he cried just by looking at his own portrait, realizing he became an entirely different person; someone who was not happy. It wasn't that he didn't want to take part in the fault, he was a coward. Just as much as Joowon was. It just so happens that Joowon is more mentally strong that he was able to be the base of the relationship even though he knew he wanted something more. I seriously don't get why the contribution to the development of their relationship should be measured when it doesn't change the fact that if they just sat and talked it out they would've experience happiness earlier
