It doesn't have a plot, bakemonogatari is a compilation of short stories like legends, rural stories etc. Basically, there is no plot, it's just a collection of many and different short stories
Right. That's why I consider it fun because there's no complex plot behind anything. It's straightforwardly telling stories and tales.
But like what's messy about the plot? It's pretty entertaining because it's not straight-forward..
