crazy. I find the manga adaptation better than the novel. the novel was amateurish?, I do not know if it’s because I read it so fast I did not absorb the story that well. If you liked the novel better... sorry, I dont mean to offend you, It’s just don’t see guys here reading the novel too

Haven't tried read the novel and since I started with the manga, it is my favorite of all time. The manga is so good and immerse and I would like to keep it at that, still not sure if I will read the novel(I think I might). Hopefully, the manga will be brought back.
Oh definitely lol. I more or less read it because its rather... Mediocre and I just enjoy reading. I think while the story is fast paced, its also the lack luster writing style. The whole thing is up in your face, the interactions between characters was amusing at times but the characters themselves were cliché. Maybe its a personal preference for characters and story but for me it (the novel) was a 5/10 or less. Nothing special, but that doesn't invalidate that it could be a good and fun read for someone else. Not my cup of tea is all. Likewise, the manga is so-so for me, a little better but not by much.
As someone has read the novel recently, this story follows pretty well with the original novel released in 2006. Now that I'm reading the manga adaptation of it, it feels even more fast paced then the book was. I am disappointed they didn't include the internal monologue of Keaton talking about Chay's "Audacity to be straight and his type". If people hadn't known this was based off a novel it would've just seemed like your average yaoi, that says something about the story lol. Besides this rant, I hope whomever is reading this has a good day!
