The artist might use 3D models to plan out the poses, so sometimes it can make the drawings look similar to cgi if they use it as a reference or it could just be the style
I remember reading "Giniro no Genders" and "Back Street Girls" (both gender bender lol) and thinking the same thing.
I mean I don't blame them. If I were a mangaka, I would vastly prefer posing dolls to redrawing each pose every panel (even if it looks worse tbh).

But why does the art look cgi??? Is it just me? It’s great just crazy how it looks cgi without the color
