Hmm for me, I think that kagura thought that their ancestors had children of their own rather than just having descendants via their siblings or other relatives

Which of course, doesnt make sense since it was pretty obvious that their ancestors were into each other, but maybe they just did not give it a thought that their ancestors were gay haha

they did give it a thought, but like, after XD (when ikumi is all like "they shared their heart and all, they had that kind of relationship" and chihaya get all flustered because "damn, that would explain why I love ikumi" Yeah, right man. Seems like it's in the family genes with all the 12 misfortunes stuff)

Well, it means that they basically didn't have descendants.
Both the Priestess and Naritaka never married any woman or had kids is what it means.
So how is it that the curse is passed on to their descendants? Naritaka had siblings but the Priestess? There was none.
So how is it that the curse actually exists? I think, it might the same souls reborn through the line...but the question becomes where did the line come from?

I'm curious about the ancestors story too. About the marriage, remember that the dark haired ancestor living his life as a priestess (as woman), so maybe that's what Ikumi means. The ancestors can married each other and the curse will end with them (but that also means Ikumi and Chihaya wont be born).

i thought the word "married" meant that they never shared the curse with each other or something like that; that Byakuya didn't allow Naritake to share his burden and then how did the curse get pased onto their descendants anyway?

I think Priestess have cousins or something. He and Naritaka' soul will reborn in 2 child in their families.

but didn't the weird floaty kid and glasses tell that they got part of their history story wrong?

The priest and naritaka didn't stay together even though they loved each other. They ended up getting married and haven kids and that's why the curse actually exists. If they had stayed at each other's sides the curse would have ended with them. I think that's what the kid in story is talking about. So for the curse to end they may have to end up being together and finish what their a ancestors started
