I agree with your points. Honestly her country could create tariffs on goods or wage war because of the humiliation and embarrassment he caused them. He's lucky that's all he's getting rn is her attending his wedding!
She’s a Princess and he’s emperor of another country and it was a well known fact that they were in love and probably gonna marry each other. Are there no political repercussions on haizens (was that his name)part? His country just went through a succession war, support would still be shaky and he could’ve made enemy of another country.
Marriage between royalty tie countries together. I’m surprised the emperor didn’t see it as disrespect and a threat to himself and his country. In other stories a formal break up would even be treated badly as a severance of alliance but this is literal cheating...
