Omg. I agree so much. It just makes no sense. I would also argue that it doesn’t even make sense to even banish a “villainess” for “bullying” a heroine for flirting with the villainess fiancé. Especially not if the heroine is a commoner while the villainess is a noble. Lol. And especially not if it is an arranged engagement as that insinuates that the reasons for the engagement are economical, for power balance and peace. So logically it would actually be the fiancé that would get reprimanded for endangering such a peace treaty by openly disrespecting his fiancé. I really like stories like that but it always irked me how cheating is overlooked because “real love”. You also see this a lot in movies and shows. Like stranger things, where Steve is vilified for being pissed at Nancy cheating around. So annoying. Makes me feel like I’m in the twilight zone.
Jesus i hate all these "villainess harassing the heroine" plots especially since the supposed "harassment" is not even that that bad (even in the original plots of the otome games or novels or whatever the FLs reincarnate into). Like hell, a motherfu**er just flirts with your finace (even if there's no love involved because , politcal marriage, of course) and you're just supposed to take it like a saint like that's not like a slap in the face to both you and your family all wihle the cheaters get away with. And over all of this they dare to even punish the supposed villainess like she has absolutely no right to revolt and be angry.
I don't get this mentality, maybe it's just a Japanese thing to hate it when women get angry and are outspoken. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
