What he cares and like the most is that she is kind and innocent. Such a shame that he has that kind of brother! But right now, In my opinion Ren is more like a friend who likes her friend(Female Lead) and the other guy is like the real main lead....It's kinda hard to distinguish since they both are willing to sacrifice or do everything for the Female lead Still it's very impressive attack

i’m not saying ren was in the right or wrong about hiding everything from the past FL but i really do think he liked her even if she was “ugly” or “chubby” in society’s eyes. i think he did it because he knew she was in love with him and didn’t want to make a mess of her perfect image of him. Now, if he knew about the poisoning that’s a different story lmao.
