Doesn't closely related mean an immediate relation by blood? Because closely related refers to biological siblings, parents, aunts and uncles and cousins. Basically anyone in your immediate family that you are related to, by blood. However in some countries you can marry your cousins(still incest). The close relation only refers to people who are blood related, not an emotional bond. If we were to see incest like you do then I wouldn't be allowed to have an extremely close emotional bond with my partner before we get together because we are as close as siblings.

Ok so I checked it out in english because my native language only said thats it's applicable to blood relatives or consanguinity, however you wanna say it, and yes, when checking english sites you're right, for some countries/states at least. My native language puts inbreeding and incest into one category so I was confused.

And well, a relationship that is in any kind related by blood is pretty wrong so yeah. Because Hari and her brother(forgot his name) aren't related in any way I don't see it as bad. It is kinda weird because they grew up together but on a biological standpoint it's not too bad. However now that I know more about the laws of incest(that sounds so strange omg) I'm not suprised when people still find it disgusting even without any blood or half-blood relations.

Yea inbreeding is gross but Hari and Eugene won't be inbreeding cause they are not blood-related. They are more like childhood friends because they were apart for 6 years so their really were no "familial bonds." Even if they had grown up together it still wouldn't be weird cause again they are not blood-related.
incest doesn't necessarily means a relationship between siblings related by blood. It's "sexual intercourse between persons so closely related that they are forbidden by law to marry". So with Eugene, who is her step brother, can counts as incest!!!
