yes he came back but after years ,we know that jian yi disappeared 2nd day of high school (ch45) and came back when xixi is already at university while jianyi still in school (ch48),all the chapters after ch50 are flashbacks!(when they were in middle school) i'm sorry if this is confusing (⊙…⊙ )

Or maybe they are all together at this university? It would be nice because I want them (all) to be together and happy ^^

WOOOOOOOW and I thought all the specials were random stories, which happened in the same time span. I can't believe I misunderstood the whole story even when I did read it twice. I had a feeling something was off. Gosh... thank you sooooooo much for explaining!!!!

I knew it. I'm glad I asked, I bet most of the readers thought everything that is happening right now is in the present. Ngl, This is making me feel sad Idk why :( all we have been seeing is their precious middle school memories. (He Tian doesn't look like middle school boi tho (￣∇￣") )

But the easiest way to tell is a few points:

-We know when they’re adults Zhan and Mo live alone and we’ve seen their homes. So since currently Zhan is still with his family and Mo with his mom we know they’re not yet in the adult setting. Also He Tian gets a car and currently he doesn’t have one.

- Jian Yi says he wants to go to HS with Zhan which implies they are not yet in HS. And I doubt the author would completely skip the transition and not even do a single chapter on it at all. The potential for gags and plot is too much. Even a line of dialogue-something.

-It would conflict with what was said earlier in the story. That Jian Yi disappears on the second day of HS. When he returns he even mentions everyone else is in university except for him who is still completing HS.

We already see they’ll be reunited and happy again anyway so some conflict, angst, and plot isn’t so bad.

But wait. He disappeared 2nd day of high school. Isn't the story too long for only memories from school? And they don't look very young. Maybe this is happening in the present? It would be cool(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Then he gonna get kidnapped in the future?
