It's sad that you think this way about yoo junghyuk. He gets better i swear, and also his tough side is what makes him so freaking loveable! Plus i just want to say that if you repeated the same apocalypse over and over again of course you're going to act like him. That all i want to say. (=・ω・=)
I mean we’re not necessarily supposed to like Junghyeok, and he’s more of anti-hero in reality. But the dude’s regressed a lot, like died and brought back to start over—this being his third time, imagine playing a game where u kept dying and restarting. U see the same ppl after every restart, u began to see them more as game characters rather than actual ppl. And imagine u watched someone close to u die, but when u “restart” they’re alive again. It’s gonna fuck w ur head for sure. I feel u tho.
And whats gonna fuck you up more is that they have no freaking recollection of you and the time that ya had together. Just that thought alone is mad depressing.
He's going to have a character development. Though I'm also annoyed at him at first.
He risked so many times. He lost so many times. He's seen many disgusting people. He's seen the wrongs in the world. And he's died many times realizing he can't fix them. It's understandable why he's like that.
Yeah, I think almost all novel readers went through this. I remember several instances where I almost dropped the novel because Yoo Joonghyuk irked me so much. I read the reviews back then too and others actually dropped it because of similar reasons and those who had caught on to the latest updates were trying to defend him (the novel still wasn't finished that time) and I sucked it up and stayed and now I have a huge spot for him in my favorites list. He mellows out eventually even though he's still a bastard.
At this point I say "bastard" but it's said with fondness. He had a good character development.
I'm gonna keep reading, but like, according to the MC this is only his third return (?) or 8th? I got confused. But that's besides the point. I'm annoyed with the returner attitude of fuck ppl who died, bc my personal reaction is to try and save people no matter what, which yeah, hoity-toity but goddamn it bugs me when ppl are so fucking selfish.
Yeah you should keep reading it. Anything I would like to say in defense of Yoo Jonghyuk would become a spoiler. But basically even though this is suppose to be his '3rd' regression, his previous regression is so fucked up that he becomes like that.
Like mkay, you have a rough backstory, aight. But he's just kinda a trash person in general. MC is way better. I know everyone loves seeing a cool headed and calculating hero but like, they kinda are just trash in human decency when it comes down to it. Bet hero gonna try and just get in the way of everything and kill anyone he wants for ever and ever in this story. AUGH I'm pissed off.
