I think it might be because as the manga advances the author improves at developing story line and artistry so they improve overall. I think though, Hope that made sense.
I disagree, after seeing all his background and story he's clearly not a bad guy. Theres no "derserve" or "unworthy". That's not for you to decide.
Basically all this time he's been craving for any sort genuine positive attention or affection and has been lacking any sort of meaningful relationships or connections. As he said before, the only people in his world at that point were people who looked down on him; his own family basically thinking he's worthless, outsiders who want to use his status, and superficial sexual relations.
He started off as that asshole character in the beginning because of his background and circumstances. And even in the past, it's still a fact that he prevented a human from dying. He has a morale compass and didn't let those actors throwing trash slide, was genuinely angry and pissed off at the guy who cheated on his sister.
People change and it's important to make sure you don't continue to evaluate based on first impressions and judge them for who they are now.
If he accept that kind of people than he has a choice that he doesnt accept them too. And it is so cliche that someone have a bad past so they are just sleeping around thing. Sorry but uke didnt have an easy life either and also rejected someone too. To me he dont deserve that uke. But the thing is that in here uke know his habit about sleeping around and just believed him about the fact that he has feelings for him is a little to much too. In just this little time he become a different person? Really? People should have morals i think. Wait what are you serious? the thing you're hung up on is that he slept around and you don't think he genuinely likes him? He is someone who's been deprived of attention and validation, his only outlet of any sort of positive feedback was through sex; and although you may think thats bad or wrong (though theres nothing wrong with it as long as all parties agree, then he can have sex with whoever he wants) that seems to have been his only way to cope.
He was just sort of an empty shell going through the days and the motions and then a new person appears infront of him who neither looked down on him, nor was trying to use him and wasn't purely just after his body. Like it just boggles my mind that you don't think him falling in love with Shin was conveyed and you don't think that he's genuine. His past self would have taken up the offer of having sex with that other dude with the dimple who messaged him, but he couldn't get into it and asked 'what changed'? Ill tell you what changed; for the first time in his life, after having someone who genuinely cared for him and went the lengths to show that he cared, he fell in love. Also in the first place the only reason he was originally interested with the bartender dude was because his dimple reminded him of Shin.
