he doesnt know about her trauma, all he knows is shes a mix. he is just confident of marrying her since he believes no one else would.
I agree. He has no idea she was abused. Beck he likes her because she's acted strong to him and Isn't chasing after him. I mean as long as he doesn't turn abusive or do something totally jerk like later i think his thinking was logical given what he knows of the situation and all. Heck he was planning to be nice it sounded like. Amd given how nobles of any time period tend to be, thinking he might come out ahead only being an after thougjt probably shows just how much he actually likes her for her. @ least in his own way. So till he does something I don't hate him right now
Yeah, I can't bring myself to hate him either for the same reasons. I still feel like he might go the villan route but right now, he likes her because she is different and no one else will take her (to his knowledge.)

It’s not about the present drama he already speculated how her life is going to be like in the future, being abandoned by the royal family with no power and in my opinion sounds like he’s going to use loneliness to his advantage to get her on his side to even eventually spite the emperor/king or whatever

All those people already disliking the 2nd ML. Dude, he is just confident. That's not like he doesn't have any right to be confident huh? And he thinks far in the future so that's his right. Now that doesn't mean it will happen but at least, it's not wrong to think like he does. That's just confidence guys. Stop trying to find fault at every imperfect guys.
Even ML here is quite possessive (a lot actually) so it's totally wrong to hate on 2nd ML while loving real ML.
