I don't know, I think this establish the that despite the fact that he likes the other guy, because he is straight, he is being mentally careful. I have read so many stories where the character stops having sex because they are after someone either straight or not. I think this shows how he is not in denial of the possibility of him being rejected and will take it one day at a time and will continue living his life as norm.
I think it was unnecessary to spend this whole chapter only showing Dr. Han's relationship with his sex friends. We get it, it's been established sice before that he doesn't like commitment and has a very active sex life, the doctor is the opposite of Kanghyuk. Now I hope we can move on and in the next chapters see more actual development of the main couple ╮(￣▽￣)╭
