Yeah, the plot was cliche but I don’t remember it being this downright awful in the novel (I read about 20 chaps back when it was being tled b4 all the drama with the author on twitter). Honestly I think the manhwa adaption has just been done really poorly... the pacing is SO off, I agree.
Also, the translation doesn’t seem to help. It’s like ‘high quality’ mtl imo? It has been edited to seem correct, but like... it’s mtl. Or at least some chapters are. I know some Korean and choked when I read this one bubble “he was the first Confucius”.. the word for Confucius (공자) also means Young Master. It’s quite obvious that “he was the first young master” is the correct use given the context, but if you google tl/Papago it, you’ll get Confucius :P
So yeah, a mix of a shitty adaptation with bad pacing (possibly lack of experience on the artist’s part) with a kinda messy/inconsistent tl.

Sorry, i don'tean to offend anyone, but this is just...unnattural.
The plot makes no sense, the pacing is haywire and the translation is...not exactly continuous.
It feels like random pages got taken out resulting in the pages left being smoothed together in order to make a semblance of a story but there are plot holes bigger than the size of my fist so I'm just very confused right now.
On top of that, through whatever semblance of a plot i could find, everything seemed unnecessarily dramatic and their resulting reactions so...forced and just...weird in general. Like i said, unnattural.
