From your point of view that is, but not all people are the same, how can you decide it that damaged her mind more or not? also this is a comic with a special universe and storytelling, this is not the real world so that's why it can be confusing when there are acting a certain way Sex is obviously a really big theme in this josei and it served as a symbolic tool for the author, it's not just some enjoyable physical act, especially in this scene, I believe the leash was the bond they made trough sexual activities during past relashionship but her saying that it been broken maybe means that she realized she really doesn't love nor need him anymore, you only saw the sex but not the actual thoughts process she went trough during it,she didn't think think about him at all or pleasuring him, when they were in the relashion ship together he was the center of her life,everything was for him but she did the sex for herself.

First of all, I understand that this isn't real but I always get immersed in the story, can't help it. Second of all, I said in another comment that it indeed was not romantic, but sad actually, I cried reading it after all, and I understood that it was her being freed from the shackles of her past once and for all, but it still doesn't sit well with me with the way it happened, because that asshole should disappear completely P.E.R.I.O.D

And also on another comment, I said that I'm actually not able to hate her for hurting my baby, because she did just get out of a divorce and is an emotional mess, trying to get her shit together, but in my opinion it was a wrong choice, though like another person who replied in one of my comments said "It's kinda like real life, where people actually go back to their toxic exes and then realize that ain't it" basically, which I agree, it does happen, but it ain't my cup of tea.

True it's fcked up but I guess she thinks that it was the only way to get over him/confirm her true feelings since (just my guess) she thought that there was connection between her & her ex-hus because of sex, & that he loves her that's why they're having sex. And now that she's having sex with him & another person comes into her mind, she's now certain that she needs to fully cut ties with her ex.

I'm guessing it was because they're bonded by sex before, which is why it should end with it too.....? Because it seemed like their story somehow revolved on it...? That it was the only thing that's keeping them together. So, I'm guessing she did thought of "healthier ways" but since sex was the thing that connected them the most, it should be the one thing that ends them

++ we are in no place to judge. Even if evrry inch of the story was unfolded to us, we cannot really tell if a talk would do much for them. It's more like of it's not the best option, but it would have better results.

That's why I said that sex served as a symbolic tool for the author it only looks unhealty because sex is mean to happen with the people we truly love and it must be a heartwarming and bonding moment and she obviously did it with someone that didn't care enough about the real her but like you said their relashionshionship revolved around it and I think she thought it was the only way to make herself necessary and important to him since the only think he cared about was his work but in bed she was the master of his pleasure.
I guess this was the closer to happiness she could find but in reality it only broke her more.
Sex with him really wasn't something that she did on a whim, she thought about this and even if it something that we can't relate to, I'm sure she needed this and that she will be able to truly forget him after the act.
