Banana Fish I bareeeely a shounen ai, killing stalking is not even BL (psychological/thriller at best) and December Rain is not even that popular because they died lol. There are tragedies out there and this author is really not that popular (very underrated) so it is a possibility but in this case it’s too early to tell, but it’s obvious the author wants us to think he died.

Def one right here...cried my eyes out. I do hope you’re not wrong. Honestly I just want them together and the idea of him being gone in any form is sad. Maybe they grew apart and Gene is just living his life
I think we should stop assuming Gene is dead/will die just because of the tragedy tag or cause they said "bad things happened to him" in Rumspringa No Joukei. Azuma haven't yet released volume 2, however, she already posted on Twitter that she has "everything clear in her mind and now is just put hands to work" she already decided the end, someone put "tragedy" tag because it looks like is something of the sort but we can't be entirely sure since we don't even have volume 2 out yet. Azuma, until now, has never finished a manga with a sad end and she already said on tt that this is her "favourite" work atm and that gene is her favourite character, I could be wrong yes, but I honestly don't think she'll kill him. Cmon yall tell me one popular romance manga where MC dies, there's basically none because they care about the audience and any possible backlash. Before saying anything we need to patiently wait for the rest and even if he indeed pass away this is more realistic than anything that I've read so far so still a masterpiece, anyways lets no get ahead of ourselves and suffer for no reason
