I don't particularly think he's overprotective, isn't it normal to want your child not to eat junk food and behave well?
It's also mentioned that she had some kinda health problem hence why Mr. Shen forbade her to eat junk food..
exactly, so I don't understand how to take care of her health and well-being is to be over-protective? haha ha
I don't think he's that bad either considering this is set in China...But all the comments a few chapters ago seemed to think so
the story makes so much more sense now we know the backstory. People were complaining about him so much about being so overprotective but it was for a very good reason. Obviously, he is going to be overprotective of his dead best friend's/(man he loved?) daughter and want her life to be perfect even if it isn't in her best interest. Despite how cheesy and silly this story is it's actually so heartwarming and also really well-paced
