Not in Katakana. That's the strange thing.
Katakana is used to show that a character is not speaking Japanese.
When Sudou called him Asami-san he used the Kanji-letter for Asami and the Hiragana for -san.
It the original here Asami is written in Katakana (that was only ever used by foreign characters like Chernobog and Mikhail).

Hmm.. I don't think so? I also thought maybe the latter part. They brainwashed him that's why he called him 'Asami', I mean of all people Asami knows if he is Akihito or not and it doesn't seem that he's suspecting it's not Akihito?
