This isn't about acting high and mighty. I know 95% of yaoi has rape but this is getting too much. The way just anybody can have their way with rix is just too sad. And his expressions hurts. I like rix, having to see him assaulted and molested like that annoys me....why can't they assault and molest nuah too. Since it is fan service.
First of all, by no means do 95% of yaoi have rape. If that's what you're experiencing then you should seriously reconsider your reading choices. And second of all, as I have said numerous times by now, this is kinky fanservice. They have to stay in their roles otherwise it'll ruin the fantasy. The only type of yaoi that doesn't have as much rape is manhua which is mostly shounen ai. But manhwa and mangas, almost all has some form of rape, attempted rape, blackmailing, coercion and manipulation. I am not talking about shounen ai. I am not insulting anyone. I just find it weird that only few people are talking about how rix was assaulted and molested. Majority just talk about how cute nuah is like that is all that matters to them.

People aren't appalled because they are into it. Again, this is kinky fanservice. I'm not sure what else to tell you at this point. Why should I be outraged by those scenes when I enjoy seeing them? I know it happens pretty often that vanilla people don't understand kinky fanservice but at a certain point you have to accept that there are people who are into this stuff and that the rape in this story isn't that deep.
I think both of you are right... The world is not equal, it never will be. As much as I am appalled reading Rix's constant abuse, some people take pleasure from it. From this whole exchange, I don't think @water was trying to be condescending. It was just a genuine reaction from seeing Rix once again abused without any provocation.
