I totally get what you're saying.
Overall an okay read but lacking. It sucks because it's so close to being a good read but there are too many lackluster characters and scenes that just put the story at meh

Grace feels a bit detached from this webtoon?? It feels like I'm just reading her thoughts and not any conversations between other characters.
I don't really like any of the characters either except the female Knight and maybe the ml.
The three male Knights kinda piss me off. They try to protect the ml as people are scared of him because of his curse, *(which is understandable)* but they disrespectfully judged Grace based off of her Baron status and tried to forcibly chase her away without understanding her first. Its OK to have doubts, but no need to hurt her.
The ml is pleasing to the eye and strong but just a tad bit too nice...
I would've liked him better if he rebelled a little bit, or maybe showed some contempt towards the emperor, not just being his obedient dog, but that could just be my preferences in mls tho....
The princes.... well... I did think the 2nd Prince was more suited to be heir to the throne... that was until he was rude to the mc.
The female Knight is the best tbh. I know she was part of the three male Knight's plan to chase Grace off (maybe even the reason it happened) and I'm still mad that she didn't try to get to know Grace before planning that, but she does then stop the Knights from doing anything else after getting to know Grace.
*Just to clarify, I meant that it was understandable that the Knights wanted to protect the ml, not that its understandable that people are scared of him because of the curse.
