Same, I thought I was the only one who thought this. but it seems we're both not alone, a lot of others agree as well. They understand he's not a bad person, he's just a little confused I suppose.

i agree and this also explains his obsession with lamia, lamia probably was the only one who ever truly love him. i dont agree with his actions because i feel like he should just move on, but i understand why he does what he does. i wish he have a happy ending T^T

I feel bad for the ml, Like it seems he’s went back in time not just once but several times. His entire back was covered in oaths by lamia. It seems he’s repeatedly goes back in time to save her. He clearly doesn’t know the right way or how to even do so. Yet he keeps trying to save her this time he went about it the wrong way with her brother and all. But he knows it as well which is why he apologized. His mother ( was a saint and was forced and raped to be the kings concubine) the one who loved and cared for him his mother was killed (we see him holding onto the cell bars his mother was held in imagine watching your mother slowly die as a child) and she was called a witch afterwards. he was isolated and never raised with love afterwards nor cared for it all happened to him while he was so young. he was called a monster and no one told him what was right or wrong. I honestly don’t think he’s pathetic at all. everyone talks about he’s bad but guys have feelings to he can’t just be all strong brave and competent. He wasn’t raised knowing right from wrong he has so much power yet the emotional stability of a child. He shouldn’t have killed people but he killed those who bad mouthed and called his mother a witch he didn’t care what they said about him. Im not trying to justify what he did but imagine the whole world against you and your dead mother for just being alive at his age. He grew up hating everyone because of that, children aren’t born evil. it’s how they are raised and the people around them that effect them as-well. I also think the fml shouldn’t just think she knows everything without actually knowing. I like how strong willed and smart she is but she could at least listen to others opinions. Also I like the ml because he doesn’t force himself on her and isn’t just an overall ass hole. listens to what she says like a little a puppy I honestly pity him. Guys have emotions as well.so y’all calling him pathetic is honestly just sad. It pushes on the bias/narrative of only girls being emotional and guys being strong.(︶︿︶)＝凸 p.s I just really wanted to use this emoji lol
