It's not bad, it's just difficult to identify with because none of them are good people. Everyone is condescending, controlling, or manipulative . In this instance it's the FL that entraps the ML very much against his will. (He's up front about his issues and the readers get surprised Pikachu face when stuff happens because dude's got issues) Eventually the MC's do finally start trying to be better for each other, but you are ready to smack them all leading up to it

Its not bad. The fl is just kind of eh. She literally chase for this guy none stop for her own safety, shes kind of guilt tripping and you cant really tell whats shes thinking, its still good to see the character development tho
