I’m so confused, I didn’t understand a thing!

My lame guess about this plot: the seme's the reincarnation of a tiger that got punished because he ate so many humans, so his punishment was to be reborn as a human himself, carrying over his old "hunger for human flesh" like a cross to carry until he could learn to care for a human being... (I just took that theory outta my a** but otherwise I have no idea how to inetrpret this weird story)
