I think the author wants to show us the evaluation of chris since he is the main character wich is nice because it’s gonna make us closer to him and when he realizes How much he loves max it’s gonna be a break through for him and it will change his personality and a lot of things including going against his huge feelings of justice and it’s going to switch him to a federal criminal by covering up for max

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that this is set in the 80s or smt, so the mindset is reflective of the time. It was a lot harder for people to come out because society just wasn't that receptive back then, and coming out would often lead to large scale ostracization and harassment/violence from others. So, most same-sex couples dated in secret.

I didn't say that homophobia doesn't exist now. But the cars/fashion/phones/lack of smartphones/laptops/tablets/etc. and heavy reliance on paper news and sources make it seem like it's at least 20-30 years ago. And it's also weird that he wouldn't know homosexuality was legal when it was such a big deal once same-sex marriage was made legal in all 50 states, so it doesn't seem likely to be in the later 2010s.

Okay, so I read the next chapter and it says that it's the year after the law against homosexuality was abolished in that state but anti-homosexuality laws were still in act in other places, so the latest it could be is 2002, because all states abolished their anti-homosexuality laws in 2003, but the last states to do so before 2003 was in 2001. As I'm not sure which state they're in, the timeline ranges from 1962-2001, so that doesn't exactly tell me the time period.
Ok but like, I like this manhwa, manhua or manga or whatever BUT the uke is kinda annoying me, like he dont wanna lose Max but he runs away when they're facing a problem like for example what happened in the recent chapter. Whats the point of dating a guy of you are too embarassed/ashamed because of it?
He needs to be strong if he dont wanna lose Max, I know a lot of gay couples experience this kind of idk what to call it but you know, homophobics just say bad things to the gay couples and I find it really sad that they're uneducated.
Back to the topic, I feel like the uke shouldnt let what the homophobics said get to him, like I said, you need to be strong and not let those things get to you, the thing that matters the most in a relationship is their love, they dont need anything else.
(Please dont fuck when you're at a party, it kinda feels weird to me idk, if you dont wanna get caught and get called stuff then just go do it in your own friggin room)
Uh pls dont be rude to me, Im just stating my opinion and I wouldnt know what he felt because Im not homosexual.
Aaaaaaaah I feel like I wrote more to this than all my essays.
