1st Jennie is a literal child, physically. 10 vs 16 as she says. Were it not be by the laws of this land, that's literal child abuse.
2nd Jennie won her wish fair and square. As the winner of the youth division, that's her reward. The emperor outright refused Jennie's wish to see a grounded kid, but accepted it when the red head kid asked? How is that not preferential treatment?
