Also very true. She was very selfish concerning the matter of their engagement. And her husband didnt deserve to be forced into a marriage against his will as well. Anyways, i hope that they both get some sort of happiness out of this marriage as it seems like thats where the author is trying to get to. (Him attempting to stay sober, control his addictions, and just change his unhealthy lifestyle and her becoming independent from her family)
True. But I’m Waiting on the backstory on why she did what she did like why she chose him. Cause I feel like there’s something there which is why she gets so upset when he talks bad about himself but idk. Let’s see. Not gonna lie I didn’t like here then too but I can now see her feelings. It’s like reverse of how it usually is. You know like how it’s usually the men doing the forcing maybe they trying show that women do it too.
For me it seems as if he was the easier target. No one would believe his words against hers. And with her being so beautiful and ‘pure’ and him with his manwhore image, it would be easy to believe that he was after her and, when she stayed the night at his place, sullied her. I don’t think she’s truly bad, hella selfish, yes. Maybe that’s why she gets upset and seems to care about him?(im incredulous as I mention the word care given what she did to him).
