I love this so far!! Such a compelling story, and one that touches on realistic issues like toxic masculinity, class difference, and so on. I also find Nabeshima's thought process an interesting one; he has a rather unique and subdued way of narrating the story.

Toxic masculinity? He's devastated to learn that he's infertile and so his wife sleeps around on him. It also explores realistic issues like narcissistic bitches

Toxic masculinity includes problems like the fragile male ego, the link between impotency and virility... so on. He's definitely overcompensating which is why he's such a possessive, aggressive douchebag sometimes lol. I'm not saying the wife is innocent in all of this and I definitely don't condone cheating, but I'm just saying there are a lot of different problems at play here.

Sweetheart, it does thread on toxic masculinity. Not the fact that the guy is toxic, but the world perceives every man to have same certain virtue, ego and class in order to be a man. It is really shitty, cause most men are pressured into it and aren't allowed to act a certain way. For example, he dosen't take advice from women. He is not at fault here, it is cause society taught him to be like that. He is very childlike with personality (its cute) and absorbs anything like a sponge so he think for him to be a man, he shouldn't listen (almost like a child whose being taught by his father to be a man)

Shit like this still happens in the real world. Kpop stars look feminine and androgynous and fucking gorgeous (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ but many western men think they are not supposed to look like a woman, cause apparently it is not masculine. But what is masculinity in the first place?
