Although I don’t encourage killing in real life, but doesn’t it like killing thousands of people in these types of fiction is considered normal? Why does this sword saint have to concern about a single (possible) serial killer, who obviously didn’t want to go after his life? Honestly, or he is too much of a hypocrite or else i believe this is one of the minor plot holes lmao

i mean to them this is real life not fiction- it's probably really unsettling to run into someone super young who has such a high body count of human lives. because even if killing is easier to get away with in that world, over a thousand is really just a lot tbh for one person. him being an assassin would make more sense than other positions as to why he has a high kill count, even though that still isn't a perfect explanation.
also i think the sword saint is mostly concerned with this because of his bad blood with the other leaders, and given the other leaders are defending mc and seems friendly with him, he thinks they're in collusion. so i think it makes sense that he'd be super wary of the mc. i think the believing mc is after him probably came from this form of logic that the leaders always kinda wanted him dead anyways, so the mc would be after him, if he was an assassin. though, i do think the assassin part is a real stretch, and the gramps is being really off the rocker a bit.

Your logic made sense, but still “to them they are real life no fiction”, I believe that in other tower - game like manhwas ain’t they just literally killing everybody in their way? Even in tower of god, although there aren’t any statistics but like I believe it’s normal for those of the strongests (excluding the MC), had killed thousands of people already lol. Maybe this manhwa is just more unique, but tbh if the SS is suspicious of MC, for a man “THAT” wise it’s normal to observe him for a while to know if MC is after him or not, started killing him right off the bat, and when he just literally saved thousands of players from floor 11, is quite of a fool move lmao

Id like to point out that it seems like theyre fighting against humanoids such as goblins and demons and not people. However I'm not sure if the kill counter counts the amount of humans killed or the amount of living beings killed (tho if it was living beings he prolly killed some bugs and thats gonna make the kill counter whack as hell so im guessing it counts human deaths) but yea if it doesnt count the non-humans or the humanoids then it makes sense for most people to have a low number as their kill count (im not entirely sure if i make sense but feel free to add on in case i made some mistakes and incorrect assumptions)

    Spoiler alert

    ......

Old man has actually a tragic backstory involving a serial killer killing members of his family, I don’t remember the details but I think it was his child and grand children.

So nothing triggers him like a serial killer he thinks MC is.

ooh yeah i get where you're coming from. but in this setting the body count only takes account of lives killed from their world (i dont wanna spoil anything, but you kinda see this theory proven by the bodycount he sees on others?? like that's the best way i can describe it lmaooo sorry).
and i don't think SS is necessarily put-off by the idea of killing since yeah you're right it's inevitable in these towers, it's more like the amount MC had killed that bothers him, because then that means he's been killing without needing to (since the kill count shouldn't take in account for the mobs in the tower, and there's no reason to be killing humans from their world unless if you choose to, since many of the goals in the tower can be completed w/o doing so). (also, the amount that the mc kills bothers him for another reason, as someone else in the thread mentioned, though it is a spoiler as to why).
and it's possible SS didn't perceive MC as clearing the floor with the purpose of saving all the players, rather, just doing it to be ahead in the game for the clearance rewards.

to be honest it’s a flawed human logic, we hold our lives at such high standards, and consider it “ precious “ than any other being. we eat pigs cows chickens, but won’t eat animals that “ we “ hold sacred, b/c we also decided that it’s wrong to eat dogs and cats? domestic animals. to them, goblins and demons aren’t hold to that standard, they’re just a thing to beat. they go to dungeons to hunt it for their own purposes. when they kill them, it doesn’t show the kills b/c it’s just a game but killing of real humans pop up, and 4K+ is a scary lot, so i acctually understand why he feels that way.
