All mc is trying to get the painter to do is paint for himself and put in his emotions. As an artist myself i can tell that the painter doesn't like the paintings he made before mc came along. When an artist doesn't put any of their own emotions into their art it stops being something they love and instead becomes a chore. MC is definitely helping (even though i'll admit she is using an annoying method)
I'm sure you guys are probably artists of some sort. Try to relate

I get that. But she could’ve asked him if he is enjoying himself while painting or if he sincerely put his feelings into the painting instead of just immediately assuming, “yeah he definitely wasn’t sincere while painting this” just by looking at the painting. Even if she has seen his future paintings doesn’t mean she can tell what feelings he put while painting the picture. Idk how art critics work these days, but what I do know is that her previous words inspired him to work on and develop on his on technique within just a few days. I am very sure he wouldn’t work that fast if he sincerely didn’t want to.

Exactly..what's frustrating me is we don't know if somebody died, he had a near death experience, or something happened that changed him. And she's not a damn expert to tell him if his wrong is deep or not. It's pissing me off because i just think that's gonna ruin an artist telling him he's not deep enough. Go the fuck away and come back at the right time

Subtlety might be lost in the translation process, but "Lucia" expressed her disappointment in his painting style only after she had commissioned him to paint her portrait and the result did not meet her expectations ... except that ( it seems) she wants to play the role of his muse in this reincarnation, so she fully expected that his style would lack a certain facility that could be prodded into mastery with the right criticism. I get why it would be irritating to hear somebody say that the painting lacks "feeling" or "depth" or other intangible and formless qualities, but what the artist was feeling or experiencing and how clearly Raphael managed to convey those in his paintings would be two separate things. The drawback with this isekai setting is that she is basing her opinion on hindsight (back to her past life), not insight. So it's bound to lack authenticity and expertise, and how can she develop her criticism further when she's essentially borrowing her opinions from a different world and a different muse. In that way, it's a cheat.
You can't force it
Please move on from this she's getting on my nerves
