I was glad to read that answer because honestly I am getting fed up with characters in manga saying "that's the way you should treat a woman", "women are fragile", etc etc. At least he sees it in a different light :) Sometimes I feel kind of insulted, but I guess characters are not perfect, politically correct human beings ╮(￣▽￣)╭
omg i totally agree!!! i love the way that whole situation was handled. the author totally undermined gender "norms" and expectations. everyone, regardless of gender, should dote on their partners and treat them the way kitaoji does.
kitaoji telling arima the reason he treats him so gently has nothing to do with gender but instead it's because he loves him
