Bruhh, how would you feel if your husband was openly cheating on you and even had a child with the woman he cheats on you but you can't divorce him because he's the emperor and the law doesn't allow it. Also what about her reputation, how would she be able to just continue living normally after she's been dishonored in front of an entire country??
I do agree that she shouldn't have taken all her rage on a poor child whose only fault was being born in the wrong place but the cheating emperor and his bi*ch totally deserve their demise.

And honestly now even the curent emperor deserves everything he gets, i mean the dude just doesn't learn. He knew that only bloodshed would happen if he takes in a concubine while having an empress but he still does it. Sure, he may have loved her but he's the god damn emperor, this is the price anyone has to pay if they want to be the most powerful person in the country. If he so much wanted love he should have just made rose the empress first and not take any concubines or just step down as an emperor. Smh

But also take into consideration part of the reason she was so bitter was because 1) she herself was unable to have a child so it looks bad and probably hurts since most of their value is placed upon whether or not they can produce an heir. 2) her position could be compromised 3) she would most likely have to ‘adopt’ the emperors illegitimate child so they could be legitimized 4) it mustve sucked that she was stuck in a marriage without love, without a child of her own AND she had to watch her husband go around with his mistress and give her all of his affection...however she’s still a monster for abusing a child like that
