Apparently the "daughter" was a either possessed or was a demon and manipulated the dad to think that MC was not his daughter(or somewhere close to that).
[My opinion]
After the magician appeared, I think its safe to say that it was the dad that made the magician turn back time but he chose MC to regain her memories.
