I think sum of u are getting it wrong, ive checked some part of the novel and it was art's decision that made me hate this series. Tess was the "decision" and he ended up sacrificing something because of it. So kinda feel sorry for Tess taking all the blame.

But if im correct did Art leave a battlefield(?) for Tess and now Tess is getting all the backlash?

yes that happened. and Tess is getting blamed for it, I mean it was given she was this damsel in distress and she lacks the strong FL we all like, but what infuriate me the most is his dad dying because of his decision. and tess being the damsel in distress gets the back slash for it.
So people are hating her for a choice that wasn't really hers? ;_;

I read the spoilers about romance and was ready to be completely annoyed with Tess but like?? This wasn't bad?? I've seen so many horrible love interests that I was expecting something unbearable especially with the way the spoilers were describing it but like maybe it just translates better into a comic bc this didn't make me hate Tess in the slightest. Like she's a kid and a princess at that I'm not surprised with her behavior and technically her reasoning was solid so like I'm assuming the hate on her comes down to taste?
