If you're talking about the beginning, they do meet briefly later on. But it was a meeting/goodbye that made me cry a lot so... and spoiler but he does end up with the lion and the last ch. 50.5 also made me cry:). Unfortunately the deer doesn't find a partner but you can say that he found a family... I was really sad about the deer but I hope he finds someone too..

True but I still feel like getting rid of the deer was a little unnecessary I feel like the story would’ve been god regardless if it was the deer or the lion it just caused an unnecessary heartbreak and then the deer didn’t even get a full happy ending
