Is she just assuming that Jeremy is in love with shuli?

I feel like Jeremy still loves Shuli as someone who tried to raise them, and I think that he pities her and has remorse for her because he finally realized how badly they treated her and excluded her... I think he just respects her and wants to her live peacefully because she's the only "mother" figure that's living and is still with them even though it's not much... idk if that makes sense tho
