Same, I'm confuse too

This is my take from the chapter. Shuli (Step-Mom) was allowed a second chance in life right? This chapter is based on the FIRST life of hers. But instead of Shuli's POV, it's on the blonde haired girl.

In the first life, blondie is engaged with Jeremy. In the second, everyone is still young, so blondies dad is trying to set Jeremy and her to be engaged in the FUTURE. It's still not set.

This chapter is a peek into blondies life, a flashback. It's also explaining the first chapter a bit. Where Shuli is about to leave, Jeremy and blondie pairing up, trying to hurt Shuli. Only for there to be a storm, transporting Shuli to her SECOND life, the one we're reading right now.

This is just a filler chapter, answering a few questions from the first life.

I believe that scene before reborn in her point view. Which I feel it related to her death in first place.

In the first timeline, Jeremy told his fiance the 'blondie' before the wedding to let the stepmother 'Shuli' to stay in the mansion for a while after they got married. They are young and immature, so they misunderstand each other and their relationship became a tangled mess, but before letting Shulli go, he want to fix their relationship first. Blondie realize that Jeremy care about Shuli (either romantically or as family) even though Jeremy doesn't realize it himself. The blondie doesn't want Shuli became a 'threat' to her position as the future marchioness, so she lied to Shuli saying that Jeremy doesn't want her to attend his wedding and he doesn't want her to stay in the house any longer since she is a disgrace to the family (she basically kicked Shulli out using Jeremy name, just re-read chapter 1 for better understanding)
