I don't understand why Ethan being ugly is a bad thing. He is not the conventionally super hot Seme that is in just about every yaoi!! He's basic looking compared to most Semes, maybe even creepy/weird/quirky. The readers don't like Ethan because he's super hot, they like him because of his personality, his charm, his dominance.
