I think it is more of a you raised him as a son how exactly do you go from son to lover. I also don't get it in manhuas when you are crushing on your sister. Granted one of them always seem to be adopted but the character is already in love prior to having this information. Also it is a little different in ISBADM because she already loved the MC and was only taking care of him not raising him as he was already a teen.

So yeah, the thing is, she's not really treating as her son so much as she's treating him like a child she finds cute, and pities to a certain extent. She also never forgets that when he grows up he's meant to kill her. She wants to protect him and give him a better life. There is no doubt that she cares for him, but it's not quite like a son. He is her ward, and if she falls in love with him when he is an adult there is nothing wrong with that. But it seems like people are harping on the fact that she's over 200 years old, and complaining about them falling in love WHEN HE IS LEGAL AND GROWN. I honestly don't see the issue. She's not going to find a human or really any love interest anywhere near her age. And the butler is raising the boy not her, she literally spends just enough time with him to be a guardian, the butler is more of a parent figure than she is. So why are people harping about them being in love after he grows up? Doesn't she have the right to fall in love? No matter how old he is he's still a child to someone over 200 years old so why bitch about her falling in love with him as an adult? She's not taking advantage of him and he's a consenting adult. Plus, by then the whole excuse of a childhood crush is no longer a point. Even if he's crushing on her now that doesn't mean that she's trying to have a romantic relationship with him. So, I'll say this again WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT THEM FALLING IN LOVE WHEN HW IS AND ADULT?! For God's sake you guys are acting like she's attacking him as a baby! If he falls in love with her as a grown man and she with him it's not pedophilia, grooming, or the end of the god-damned world! She's not doing anything to influence him, or make him fall in love with her, and if she sees him as a man when he's an adult then let her be, at least he'd be a grown man and her friend long before he was her lover. Wow. Just stop trying to see pedophilia in everything. It is possible for a guardian to one day see their grown up ward as a love interest. It's when they see their child ward as a love interest that you have to worry. That is not the case here so grow the fuck up people.

I mean I agree the age argument doesn't make sense. Everyone is a baby to her and noone says shit when centuries old male vampires go around hitting on teenage girls. Also I'm not against their relationship I just find it weird. There are plenty of things that I don't understand/find weird. It is more of a cognitive disconnect not moral one (for my comment at least). Also from what we have seen so far she is not grooming him.

Thank you. Finally an answer that makes sense. It's okay if you find it weird but I agree, why is it any different for her @ 200 than it is for some vampire or sorcerer @ 500 hitting on 15 to 17 year old girls? And she's not grooming him, she's treating him like a child. She's not doing anything morally wrong, so I don't get why people are complaining.
Okay, so I get that people have an issue with the age gap, but can I point out, the woman is over 200 years old! Even her damn butler is a child to her! Do you guys think that she should never fall in love? At her age every guy, unless they are an inmortal that is older than her, is going to fall into the child range because they aren't ever going to get near her age! Seriously? And she is acting like a guardian right now. She wants what's best for him. She can't stop him from falling in love with her, and as long as she doesn't try to fuck him while he's under age who the fuck are you to complain about him becoming her love interest?! Really, at least try using your brains. She's not grooming him, if anyone was grooming him he'd be the damn butler.
