Pretty sure only one emperor knows, the one who ordered the magicians to turn her into a sword. Since he pretty much killed off everyone else that knew about this.
And so after that emperor died, the knowledge about her being actually human went with him
Oh damn, that's pretty bad.. It would've been a little better if there was an emperor who would talk to his sword like a lovesick fool.. sigh

I thought she was made as a killing machine not a literal sword.. what the heck, that's inhumane! And are the emperors aware that she's still conscious? Was there not a nice emperor who would treasure a sword with all those years? Just shows how rotten that empire is..
