If only! I don't think it will be as much of a big deal for our guys since at least Gensuke has a brother. This story reminds me of Hana no Miyako de, if you've read Hana no mizu shiru then that one doesn't quite reveal how hopeless it is until the end. At least we are prepared with this backstory.
gensuke's brother already explained that its impossible for him to be the heir since he doesnt have that manly voice and physique compare to gensuke which suitable to be the heir.
Hopefully the grandson story won't end in heartbreak. Help them grandpa! Would be extatic if for once surrogacy/adoption will be the solution to "the responsibility to continuing the line of succession" problem.
