both are not at fault, I don't have anything to blame the ml, for the fl if you need respect you need to take action and ask for it instead of complaining the ml is a reasonable person and you help him for something can be a beginning, I feel sorry for the ml to have a King agast him is not easy
i agree with the communication part, it would have been easier for them as a couple if fl communicated properly and took some action since the beginning but then again this would prevent the drama the author wants in their webtoon ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ lol
but even so i guess she would still have to deal with anxiety and postpartum depression tho?
how ml behaved in the past is something we cannot actually blame him for but he still turned a blind eye to fl mistreating vincent all these years too (￣∇￣")
HE was there when he can after then the death of the father the king using him as he can for a 19-year boy is too much and that can make him want to escape for some circumstances; is not ease to treat a person that is depressed ( especially when the patient is not talking to u and make you feel as if is the cause); on the fl side since she was born she has taken responsibility entry in a house where everyone was cold and staying alone with no one to comfort her was painful; I feel touched when the ml make thing possible for her to see her sister the princess , make me think that the ml care for the fl, he's not perfect but he care and nobody has taught the way to move in a relationship there going to do it together.
yes i know!! my point in the last comment was that he blamed her before the flashback chapters, when he himself hasn’t done “anything” while seeing the son being mistreated
they aren’t perfect but now we are seeing more to it and, from the storyline point of view, this is probably the reasons why their characters were built with these flaws so:
- ml is supposed to be “cold” on the first glance, BUT then you see his way of showing affection is a quiet and indirect one
- fl was seen as “vain” and mistreated their son in the beginning, BUT then you understand she suffered a lot and was depressed
and now that she went back on time, they will be able to eventually overcome and work on their relationship development as family together
i know harsen is to blame, but i’m sure the author is portraying him this way to make some drama lmao like:
- he’s suffering retaliation from the king because he chose fl (out of love probably?)
- when he came back from war, killing his family might have been because they were harassing fl in his absence
- he most likely think she has no feelings for him and married him only because he was her “best choice” so he chose to keep his distance even if they live together to protect himself from being hurt
- finally, in the future, he grows resentful of her actions in the past, thinking she never loved him, took care of the dukedom or cared for their kid, not understanding the reasons why she never did so
