The MC was in love with his old college friend and was hurt when he found out that his friend was in love with someone else. When he was asked to go along with him to pick a gift out was when it really hit him I guess? And that’s sort of when he decided to get over his feelings. Flash forward to now, where he’s working in a company, he meets the boss. They got a thing for each other, they sleep together, and the MC finds out his boss use to date that same college friend he was in love with. The feelings he hid resurfaced and he decided to avoid the boss. And now the new chapters are just them finally about to talk it out. I hope this helped lol.
