Same, I've been reading a huge range of semes and ngl, the seme is pretty understanding. Pushy yes, but he really asks and genuinely shows interest not like other semes that are super pushy yet cold and gives mixed signals （￣へ￣）
I haven't read the entire thing, only until chapter 2 so correct me on this, but I think one of the main reasons people don't like the seme that much is because, he would ask the uke, and when the Uke objects, he would still do it anyways. There's no respect, none. And thats probably what annoyed many people.
Although I haven't read the entire thing so who am I to speak.
That moment when you've read so many bls that are way worse so this is pretty decent and you actually like the seme because at least he vocalizes what he wants to do compared to some other bls out there ╮(￣▽￣)╭
