I thought Stockholm syndrome was just a common thing to know about...so many tv shows esp. popular crime shows mention it

Stockholm Syndrome IS common knowledge, I've never been taught in school about it either but people mostly just hear and learn of it once they're a ceirtain age. If you don't know about it you're probably just too young, but the MC isn't a kid, he's in college and probably around 20 so yes it's normal and dare I say even expected of him to know about Stockholm Syndrome (I'm sorry if I sound rude, didn't want to offend anyone, just wanted to state my opinion even if nobody asked:))
