I’m only going to explain elijah in this but he’s not the only like “vessel”

so basically in Arthur’s past life he had two friends n they were Nico n Cecilia. Grey n Nico both liked Cecilia but Grey kept distance bc he knew Nico liked her. Cecilia was part of like a prophecy or something idk she was just really important bc she was meant to be the king bc of a prophecy (everyone expected her to win) but because Cecilia was part of a prophecy the people who wanted her to become King used the person she loved against her n that person was Nico. (They were engaged before the tournament) when the tournament for the crown happens the last two are Grey n Cecilia. During one of the times they clashed Grey draws a sword through her chest bc he expected her to counter it n knock him back. But she doesn’t when she falls down she says “they wouldn’t let me kill myself. now they can stop using Nico against me.” Or something n then Nico like hates him bc even though he still loved the girl Grey killed..

Fast forward into his present life, there’s this guy names agrona (he’s like the big boss) n be tempered with reincarnation and relics for all of his life (he’s ancient) n during one of the attacks at the school elijah gets taken bc he can use the same power they can (he was raised by dwarfs but he isn’t one but he’s not evil) n during that time he was gone agrona used him as a test subject for reincarnation n it works, so Nico is in Elijah’s body n Nico wants to bring Cecilia back using Tess

n to think I liked her at one point
